We were asked for this from our user base and as we agreed it was a good idea, it is now available to all i-map x users.

When a task is due for completion there is a pop up on your screen with a musical accompaniment. Its easy to stop, but it certainly makes sure that important diarised tasks are not missed by either you or members of your team.

More improvements to i-map x

All our users out there will already be aware that we have now improved the trigold integration from i-map x. When you have completed a fact find in i-map x, the data you have keyed in will integrate directly into Trigold mortgage sourcing software without the need to re input any information. We have had this link in place for a while as I-nvent Software Limited are fully authorised CRM development partners with Trigold. However, the new work has significantly improved the level of detail in the integration and the speed with which the data links up.

Another improvement, again resulting from the feedback we are getting from our increasing user base, is the addition of email functionality directly from the document management page of any case in i-map. I-map x allows you to store documents online against any cases that you set up. You can now email these to through a simple on click only button.

The new pricing structure for i-map x will be £ 12.50 (ex vat) per user per month. The new online payment method is being tested and will be up and running shortly. For those clients of our that registered with us before the cut off date, they will be able to continue to use i-map x free of charge. Thank to all our customers for the feedback that has been essential in our getting the system to the stage it is now at.

I-map x....the development continues

The development team blog details the new work that is added to the i-map x software, so its worth following this. Future development that we have planned include, data integration with the MTE (mortgage trading exchange). This means i-mapx users can get data straight through to 27 lenders online decisioning systems, DIPs and Lender KFI's. We'll let you know as soon as its available.

Setting up your organisation within i-map x

I-map x will let you configure the software to your needs. Once you have registered, select the settings option which is in the top right of the screen. You can set up a network, firms within the network, departments within firms and of course, as many users as you require.

Our online user manuals are very useful in making sure you get the most out of i-map x. There is a lot of functionality available to you that can save you time and also help generate revenue.

Transferring data into i-map x

If you would like to use i-map x, but already have a large amount of historic data held in your current system, help is at hand. Invent Software Ltd are able to transfer data into any of our i-map systems including i-map x.

We have now successfully completed this process with many i-map customers, including those that have been using competitive broker CRM products and generic database/CRM systems such as ACT. Client information, mortgage data, insurance information, task management, recontact dates and case notes can all be carried across into the relevent fields within the i-map product that is most suitable to your needs.

Initially, I would encourage you to call us to discuss your requirements, as our experience to date is that everyone has different needs when it comes to transferring data. Mortgage case workflow on i-map x

Any mortgage on i-map x can be progressed through a work flow. When first created a new mortgage is linked to a client as an enquiry. When this mortgage case is to be processed, you can move the status to a "live case". This is very helpful in differentiating between cases, particularly when running reports.

Client Case Tracking with i-map x

The latest update to the software include online, client case tracking, a feature which we intend to develop considerably over the coming year. You can select to email a link to any clients you may have on the system, they also get sent a username and password. When they activate the link, there is the option of inputting the log in details to view the cases that they currently have with you.

Its just the basic information and the case status that they view at this point in time, but there will be lots of additional helpful features added shortly. We hope that this type of tool will, in a small way, help our i-map x users build better long term relationships with their client base. Its vital that we continue to get the excellent feedback from all current i-map x users as to what you would like to see added, we look forward to receiving your comments and suggestions.

Why is i-map x free to use ?

Firstly it is important to make clear that we do not intend compromising on the quality of the system & service that we are providing to our customers. It is definitely free to use if you are a mortgage intermediary, a network or an IFA (Independent Financial Adviser).

At Invent Software Limited, we intend making a profit from our efforts, you may be relieved to hear. Our revenue comes from the growing number of third party organisations that want their services to be easily accessible.

None of these services are obligatory to use, though we hope that the huge amount of time that can be saved through not having to re-key case data when sending information to our selection of packagers, solicitors, etc will be of real benefit. We are also in the process of setting up links directly to insurance providers and lenders DIP systems. This is something that we have already been able to do with our range of server based software for mortgage packagers.

There are also two advertising banners in i-map, one is at the log in page and the other on the home page. We are also working with many of our partners in coming up with special offers which will be exclusive to i-map x users.

Is my data secure ?

Understandably, this is one of the questions that we are asked most frequently by prospective users of i-map x.

The security of your data is paramount to us.

All data is stored on dedicated servers in a secure data centre. Each individual firm's data is stored in an individual database providing strong isolation between your valuable client data and that of other users. This, combined with SQL injection resilient technology eliminates the possibility of your data being viewed by other users. The data servers themselves are protected by firewalls and as such the actual databases cannot be accessed from the general internet but only from a different remote computer housed in the same data centre. This computer can only be accessed from our offices or the data centre meaning that the system is as secure as current technologies will allow.

The servers themselves are IBM systems utilising RAID disk technology and redundancy to maximise resilience and are monitored regularly for any errors. Data is backed up to different disks daily meaning that in the event of a file corruption problem your data could be recovered quickly.

If you are interested in the system you may find it reassuring to learn that today we passed the 200 mark for the number of individual firms that have registered to use the software. I-map x is suitable for networks, mortgage intermediaries or IFAs and is free to use.

Each firm can set up any number of users and restrict access, so that advisers and administrators only get to view certain information.

We are continually adding and improving the way this software works, the feedback we have received from everyone so far has been very helpful. Thanks to all who have contributed ideas and comments! There have been several additions and amendments as a direct result of your interaction. In particular, improvement to the TCF record keeping on each case, and the compliance management screens. Improved compliance management

For users that log into i-map x with suitable compliance management access, we have improved the layouts and data of the compliance management screens.

This new layout shows the fact find validation score and the list of status of the documentation required e.g. IDD, Suitability letter etc.

Mass Marketing now added to i-map x

As i-map x users build up their client base, they can now communicate with any selection of current clients, such as those whose schemes/policies are due for renewal, or simply prospective clients. It is out intention to continue to develop the marketing capabilities of i-map x, the ability to keep in contact with growing client banks is a fundamental requirement.

Prove that you are compliant with FSA regulations

A natural bi -product of using i-map as your CRM (client relationsip management) and back office processing software is that it will help your business to comply with and to prove adherance to the FSA regulations relating to MCOB (Mortgage Conduct of Business rulebook) and ICOBS (Insurance Conduct of Business Sourcebook).

Through using i-map x to process your cases, all your activity is automatically recorded. A suggested "Compliance work flow" provides guidelines and key documents such as an IDD (initial declaration document) and a suitability letter are easily produced. Having completed a fact find using i-map, automatically produce a suitability letter from the selections already made. Another key feature in assisting compliance with the FSA (Financial Services Authority) regulations, is the ability to validate fact finds. I-map x indicates any important fields of information that have not yet been recorded, cases are automatically risk assessed to be either Green, Amber or Reg.

Completed data fields in i-map can then be integrated into Trigold Prospector sourcing software. KFIs can be produced and uploaded to i-map x. Acutal copies of all documents are then recorded against every case.

If you are part of a compliance management team, you will be able to log in and view all brokers and advisers for whom you are responsible. I-map x will show you any "high risk" cases that are being processed, you can access any cases you like and see all documentation and work flow for any individual case.

Although simply using i-map x is not a guarantee of being compliant with FSA regulations, at least it is made easy to show you are administrating your business correctly and keeping accurate records in all instances.

Our marketing campaign for i-map x will start on Wednesday 8th October. We are hoping for some press coverage and have been encourage by the positive comments from the trade publications that we have spoken with thus far. Some good old e mail marketing is primed and will help spread the message, and we are working on a new website which will be live from the end of today.

The new site has been re-jigged and if you take a look, I hope you will agree that it's now all about answering the questions that any potential trialists of the software may have, as well as coaxing visitors towards the very easy registration process.

What is i-map x ? This is a software solution for the financial services market that will be forever developed and improved. Inevitably so, as the ever changing demands of the market, regulation and technology will be reflected in the features of the software. That is where user feedback is so important to us.
